What is Anxiety?
If you’ve been in a stressful or unknown situation, you probably felt nervous, overwhelmed, or worried. This is anxiety and it’s a normal, healthy reaction to facing a problem or threat. However, sometimes we feel anxious when there’s nothing stressful to trigger it. If you're having extreme feelings of worry, fear, or panic, during everyday life activities, you could be suffering from an anxiety disorder.
When anxiety is occurring often enough to become a disorder, you may find yourself feeling so overwhelmed or with such strong feelings of dread on a regular basis that your day-to-day life is being negatively impacted.
